Kyla graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Gender and Women’s Studies. Kyla earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2016. She went on to complete a post-MSW fellowship at the University of California-Berkeley, where she served on the eating disorder treatment team at the campus health center.Kyla first began working with eating disorders in 2015. She joined the EDCare Kansas City team in 2017 and has enjoyed working in a number of roles here, including primary therapist, admissions/utilization review, and most recently, program manager. Kyla has experience working with individuals with eating disorders and their families in both individual and group settings within residential, PHP/IOP, and outpatient levels of care.Kyla strives to challenge and support clients as they work towards renegotiating a healthy relationship with food and establishing a life worth living.
