Native-Seed Collection and Cleaning - Hands-on
This presentation will outline best practices for native-seed collection to support ecological restoration. It will explain why wild-collected seeds are valuable, emphasizing genetic diversity, adaptive traits, and long-term conservation benefits. A detailed, multi-step workflow will cover site assessment, species selection, wild-seed collection, seed-increase farming, cleaning, storage, and application.

Instructor Biography:

Kathryn Prive founded and serves as Executive Director of The Understory Initiative (TUI). . She is Executive Director and Coordinator of the Rogue Native Plant Partnership (RNPP).

Cost: $15 per person or sliding scale fee. Fees support the Land Steward Program
