About the Event:

Join ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum and the SOU Honors College for “Making Music,” an immersive project coordinated by Artist in Residence Dr. Terry Longshore.

This isn't your typical sit-down concert. Spread throughout the entire museum, Dr. Longshore and 25 SOU Honors College students have designed a multi-media, multi-instrumental performance centered around the theme of “Memories.”

As you wander through ScienceWorks, you will encounter musical interludes interpreting the five core values of the Honors College: Curiosity, Community, Critical Thinking, Creativity & Innovation, and Civic Engagement.

What to Expect:

Soundscapes: A plethora of percussion, "found" instruments, spoken text, and the unique installations of ScienceWorks itself.

Interactive Experience: The performance maps out different museum sections, inviting the audience to explore while the music unfolds.

A Meaningful Reflection: As the SOU Honors College begins its sunset phase, students are incorporating their personal reflections and memories of their university careers into this collaborative composition.
