- **Event Description**: Folksinger, songwriter and labor activist George Mann returns from New York for special performance at Pioneer Hall in Ashland! 

George is a walking jukebox of popular folk, country and labor songs from the last century, and his own songs are heartfelt reflections on the state of the world. George has produced albums featuring such folk music legends as Utah Phillips, Pete Seeger and Tom Paxton, and produced national tours of the US and Australia in honor of The Almanac Singers and Joe Hill. 

Before the show we will be entertained local jazz vocalist Vanessa Finney. Vanessa has been singing on Southern Oregon stages since 2018 and was recently voted one of Ashland's favorite jazz vocalists. Guitarist Jason Wolverton is a luthier specializing in classical guitars and he will join us for this pre-show.

This is a FREE EVENT but we will pass the hat for donations.

This event also celebrates Independent Media Week in Ashland, a showcase of our local media resources and community of independent media producers, local activists, and community groups.
