Having been described as “this generation’s Flight of the Conchords” and also “like my annoying aunt’s annoying friends”, last year they went on to tour Honey Honey Moon Moon (directed by Chris Grace & Eric Michaud) and were invited to perform at various prestigious venues worldwide.The duo is best known for their queer anthem “People Think We’re Straight” and the cautionary tale about their couples therapist “Jacquelyn Denfark.” Even P!NK jumped on the bandwagon by reposting their viral holiday song “Hot Hanukkah.” Couplet has been seen in the New York Times, the Guardian, and heard on BBC Radio 4. The New York Post called them “that comedy duo”. They perform regularly at UCB, Dynasty Typewriter, The Elysian, and other theatres around LA and across the US, and have created sketches with the likes of Josh Gad, Michaela Watkins and Seth Rogen.As an actor, Marnina starred in Sundance selection comedy-drama Chanshi with Henry Winkler and Netflix’s Unstable with Rob Lowe and Fred Armisen. She also features in national commercials, including one as ‘Creepy Violinist’, a part she trained for her whole life. As a writer, Micah creates new shows every month with Quick & Funny Musicals at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade theatre. Their music has been featured in films, TV, and commercials. Recently, Micah co-created the musical Good Guy with a Gun! along with songwriter Philip Labes.
