Through structuredtraining sessions and volunteering opportunities, you will gain technical andorganisational skills in sound engineering, lighting, stage management, stewarding,budgeting, and live performance.Following "The Support Act" and "The Headliner", we now enter a focused six-week phase dedicated to event promotion and safety - "The Encore".Participants will develop key skills in:Planning and managing event logistics & technical ridersBudgeting for live performances and touring activityScheduling rehearsals, events, and artist movementLiaising with performers, agents & venue managersUnderstanding artist welfare, contracts & hospitalityCreating run sheets, contact lists & risk assessmentsEach session blends guided instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on planning, leading up to the grand finale live event, managed almost entirely by the participants themselves.This is your moment to lead, organise, and deliver a full-scale show and celebrate everything you’ve achieved along the way.**The North East Combined Authority (North East CA) was formed on 7 May 2024. It is led by Elected Mayor Kim McGuinness and the Cabinet and covers the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
