A quick intro On the 25th of January we will be strolling from the village of Boughton Lees to the surrounding sites and settlements. The walk will start at the Green at Boughton Aluph. There is parking around the Green. From here we will make our way through the village to the ruins of Eastwell church with its intriguing secret. We will then walk over a hill and through fields and orchards to reach the scenic Challock church before we reach the village itself. Then we will go through King’s Woods to return to our starting point. Along the way we will hear tales of a man brave enough to duel the Duke of Wellington, a favourite hunting spot for a King in a romantic and deer sense and the mystery grave in the ruined church. ?
