His former local bands include The Merle and Unholy Trio. After a conversation with Tom Waits in California, Geer was inspired to start his most recent musical venture, Drunken Prayer. On his 7th album, 2025’s Thy Burdens, Geer is credited for creating a completely new type of music: Cosmic Gospel ("a marriage between Otis Redding and The Band“). Today Drunken Prayer is a stalwart of the burgeoning Asheville music scene. Two of Geer’s other local bands will also play sets: Not known for their math skills, the Unholy Trio are reuniting for this show. Featuring members of Reigning Sound, Freakwater and The Krektones, they were a key element at the dawn of Asheville’s current country music renaissance. drunkenprayer.com/unholy-trio Los Gun Show are a group of Land Of Sky all-stars playing the blues as best they can. They are of members of Pleasure Chest, Blind Boy Chocolate & The Milk Sheiks, USXmas, Ouroboros Boys, Reigning Sound and Drunken Prayer Equal Plates Project Prompted by the COVID crisis, when area farmers found themselves with fewer restaurants and markets to sell to, the Equal Plates Project began. They purchase directly from small farms at fair prices, transform their quality ingredients into scratch-made meals, and partner with community organizations to share thousands of meals each week with neighbors facing food insecurity. equalplatesproject.org Thanks to our Sponsors: Sarver Realty, Antique Tobacco Barn, Mosaic Realty, Eda Rhyne Distillery, Swiftwater Designs, JAG Construction, Hellbender Paddle Boards - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/asheville/the-inaugural-asheville-juke-joint-homecoming-party-at-the-grey-eagle/200029099989341 - **Event Categories**: entertainment, music, parties, gun-shows, live-music, nonprofit, country-music-festivals - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 240 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Asheville - **state**: NC - **country**: United States - **location**: The Grey Eagle - **lat**: 35.587062310337 - **long**: -82.56436070489 - **full address**: The Grey Eagle, Grey Eagle Music Hall, 185 Clingman Ave, Asheville, NC 28801, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: The Inaugural Asheville Juke Joint Homecoming Party at The Grey Eagle - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events3/banners/ee38ca62995165c676300cafe02d635675b1edf6beeca5880ab97d3458e8fb1e-rimg-w1200-h630-dcf2c376-gmir?v=1764458894 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is The Inaugural Asheville Juke Joint Homecoming Party at The Grey Eagle being held? - **A:** The Inaugural Asheville Juke Joint Homecoming Party at The Grey Eagle takes place on Sat, 29 Nov, 2025 at 08:00 pm to Sat, 29 Nov, 2025 at 08:00 pm at The Grey Eagle, Grey Eagle Music Hall, 185 Clingman Ave, Asheville, NC 28801, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing The Inaugural Asheville Juke Joint Homecoming Party at The Grey Eagle? - **A:** The Inaugural Asheville Juke Joint Homecoming Party at The Grey Eagle is organized by The Grey Eagle. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
