Even if 3D Country is one more stop and not the final destination—Winter hints that what comes next could be just as severe a change—the album makes one thing very clear about Geese. This is not the band we thought they were, and no one can say where they might take us next. DOVE ELLIS Dove Ellis is a songwriter and performer from the west of Ireland. In the UK and Ireland's ever-accelerating post-Covid music scene, genres are dissolving faster than ever before, and Dove is a prime example of this shapeshifting next-Gen. His writing covers a range of styles — from soft acoustic ballads to hammering bass lines to visceral, ambient soundscapes — all kept tight and cohesive behind his high tenor croon. Cutting his teeth in Manchester's flourishing live scene, Dove has been spreading word-of-mouth after notable performances at All Points East, support slots for Fabiana Palladino and dimly-lit headline shows in crumbling mansions.
