- **Event Description**: Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at Blackfordby Village Hallon Friday March 20th.Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."Topping the bill is the animated Sean Heydon, one of the country's premier comedy magicians, who has appeared on various TV shows, including Britain's Got Talent where he got a unanimous 4 yesses from the judges and Channel 4's Paul O'Grady Show, as the resident illusionist. With his unique style, he captivates the crowds, often receiving standing ovations.Opening the night will be the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV's Britain's Got Talent and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition and has supported Jason Manford on his arena tour. Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none.
