About the event
Women Speak Up
Women are invited to attend this free event that focuses on women’s health and the importance of women speaking up.
Passionate about advocating for women's wellness, entrepreneur and former bookseller Belinda Roberts welcomes you to her working woolshed for an uplifting and informative afternoon. She will be joined by Gillian Parkinson and Dr. Albert Makary as they share personal and professional accounts related to women’s health and endometriosis.
Our MC is international speaker and women's wellness advocate, Anah Aikman, who invites you to be part of the korero, to arrive with questions and share your stories.
Accompanied by Michelle Matanga, singer/songwriter/musician, Lisa Tui, will connect us to place and each other through her gift of waiata and storytelling. Her connection to wairua (spirit) and te tapa wha (the whole being) will enchant you.
The afternoon will close with kai and the opportunity to speak with our presenters. You are welcome. Do join us.
Belinda's Peel Forest woolshed provides the perfect backdrop for intimate conversations - rustic, yet welcoming, echoing with the warmth of shared stories and the gentle acoustics that make every waiata feel like a gift.
