• What: Art Jam Gathering
• When: Saturday, November 15th 1-4pm (cleanup 4-5pm)
• Where: 42710 Kildonan Dr, Ashburn, VA 20147
• Who: All ages are welcome!
• What else: Pot luck food, acoustic instruments, art - all welcome!
How does it work?
Creatives bring your latest work and/or something that helps illustrate your creative interests so others can get to know you. Bring friends, dance, chat, show & share. You'll be invited to play the (optional) "Creative Connections" game (designed by Tricia in the early 1990's) where you'll make your own badge listing things you enjoy doing/offering and a second badge listing something you need/hope for or are looking for. This sparks conversations and interesting connections.
For a positive experience for everyone, we ask that you:
• Have fun and help others feel welcome
• Keep it PG-13 & family friendly (no alcohol, profanity, nudity etc.)
• Honor the Venue: We're guests in this free space. Please be respectful of the property and tidy up.

> Q: Who's doing this? A: Art Jam can happen anywhere. This one is hosted by Cityview church who generously provide the space. It's self-organized by *YOU* the artists. We all make this positive experience happen together. For example, Tricia Ratliff runs her "Creative Connections Game" as a form of art to help other artists. Parul Kumar will bring art and be greeting guests. Jordan Xu might paint live. Faith Magne is launching a podcast .. a documentary producer may be filming. Others may play acoustic instruments or plug in tunes in a corner ... many unexpected things can happen!
> Q: Can I come if I'm not an artist? A: Yes of course! Bring Friends
> Q: How much work can I exhibit? A: This isn't a gallery, it's a fun and random gathering so it's best to bring something you can carry. If there's enough space feel free to set it up a little table or bring a display easel (or 3) knowing that nobody is responsible for your art but you.
> Q: Can I sell? A: Thankfully, it's a free country but the venue is not a sales/retail venue. So, if someone wants to buy your art, you can handle your own transaction outside of the event. There's no commission or fees etc. Very chill.
> Q: Can I set up a table/display? A: Yes, if you can find space ... but be prepared for activity. People might be dancing, moving or bumping into things and let's be clear -> nobody is responsible for your things
> Q: Can I paint/create/demo? A: Yes and please respect this beautiful, pristine space with gratitude! If you create - bring a tarp etc. to prevent damage and clean up thoroughly. We all want to be invited back.
