Held the fourth weekend of March, small town Ashburn, Georgia welcomes visitors to the Fire Ant Festival, but not the ants themselves. Known for its wacky and off-the-wall activities, the festival offers family-oriented fun for all ages. Activities include a pageant, the fire ant calling contest, a carnival, 100+ arts and crafts vendors, a Fireworks Spectacular, bands, a 5K run and 1-mile fun run, a BBQ cook-off, and SO MUCH more!

The Turner County wide Find the Fire Ant Contest kicks off with $1500 cash prize if you find the LARGE blue ant around Turner County! This is our BIGGEST pre-festival event that gits the hive of Turner County in a frenzy!
