Sound Bytes: Stories & Food for the Soul
A Community Celebration of Storytelling and Food
Whether you’re in it for a taste of live storytelling or delicious light bites, your soul will be nourished by “Sound Bytes,” a free community event featuring flavorful food stories from Asbury Park locals as part of the Prudential North to Shore festival.
Hosted by Project Write Now in conjunction with the City of Asbury Park Mayor’s Wellness Committee, this family-friendly, multi-generational, multicultural live storytelling event celebrates food stories from our beloved City by the Sea.
Several nonprofit community partners from Asbury Park will help us kick off the festivities. Receive a “community passport” upon arrival to get “stamped” by all community partners for a chance to win a door prize.
Immediately following the show, all registered attendees will be offered a nutritious and delicious plant-based bites catered by local chefs. Additionally, as part of this special event, Project Write Now is creating a community cookbook to capture food stories and recipes from the community at large.
