- **Event Description**: Run, walk, or roll through Arthurdale's beautiful historic district dotted with original New Deal homesteads in our annual Roosevelt Run 5K (previously known as Goat Gallop)! Visit the historic grounds, run and play with our goats, and join us to celebrate the dream of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and homestead life with the whole family.

An untimed 1/2 mile Kids Race course is available for children 10 and younger.

Join us after the races for family-friendly fun and visit with our adorable goats! Healthy snacks and refreshments to recharge your body will be provided.

Pre-registration price is $30 and the deadline is May 13. All pre-registered participants before May 13 will receive a t-shirt. After May 13, the price to register is $35, and a t-shirt is NOT guaranteed. The Kids Race is open for ages (10 and under) and is $5 to participate, all participants will receive a medal. Pre-registration for both adults and kids ends on June 10 at midnight. On-site registration opens at 8am the day of the race.

Roosevelt Run 5K parking is located in the yard of Arthurdale Heritage's museum house E-15 at 112 Q Rd. Arthurdale, WV 26520.

COURSE
The course runs through beautiful, rural Arthurdale and is mostly flat with one steep grade. The course is measured and is 3.1 miles long. The kid’s run is measured at 1/2 mile long and flat. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome to participate in the 5k.

AWARDS
Top overall male and female 5k finisher will receive a prize. Top male and female finisher in each age category will receive a medal. All participants in the kid’s race will receive a medal.

AGE CATEGORIES
Run: under 10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-over
Walk: under 10, 11-16, 17-39, 40-59, 60-over

10 and under: Kid’s Race* (1/2 mile, all participants receive a medal)

*All ages are welcome in the 5k Run/Walk with parental permission. For event tshirt, race number, and ranking, registration is required.
