Learn to Warp: 4-Session Weaving Workshop

Want to warp a loom for your own weaving project but not sure where to start? In this class, instructor Kendyl Bostic will take you through the steps of front-to-back warping on a floor loom. You will learn the math involved to plan a project, wind your warp on a warping board, and put the warp onto the loom through both the reed and heddles. At the end of the class, you will have the option of weaving your project, but participants should expect that finishing the weaving will take more than the scheduled 4 sessions. If more time is needed for weaving the project, participants will be able to discuss options with the instructor for access to the Loom Room and optional help with the actual weaving process.

This class is recommended for those with some weaving experience or beginners who have a loom at home that they would like to learn to use. The class is focused specifically on how to warp, and you are not expected to finish a project during the time frame. Ages 16+

When: March 24, March 31, April 7, April 14 | 6pm-8pm
Where: 18 Q Rd. Arthurdale, WV 26520. The Loom Room entrance is the gray door located behind Center Hall. Parking is by the dumpster across A Road.
