Calling all homeschool families! Enrich your child’s education at Arthurdale Heritage, with hands-on activities focused on history & heritage, arts & crafts, and more! Each month this fall, we are offering Homeschool Days. Students are invited to learn about the unique history of Arthurdale and Appalachia. In October, we will learn about museum collections and care, try our hand at copper embossing in our blacksmith’s forge, and learn how to sing traditional folk songs.
Schedule:
10:30-11:00am: Check In at Center Hall
11:10-12:05pm: Session 1
12:15-12:55pm: Lunch in Center Hall

Singing Traditional Folk Songs
This program is intended for students in K-5 through 6th grade, although older students are permitted. Students will be divided into three groups based on age, rotating between stations throughout the day.
The cost is $15 for members of Arthurdale Heritage, $20 for non-members. Pre-registration is required.
All materials are included except lunch. Please send a packed lunch with your child.
