Coles, Cumberland, and Moultrie-Douglas 4-H members are invited to participate in a hands on poultry and rabbit workshop to help them feel confident when presenting their animals at shows and competitions. Members can sign up for either poultry, rabbits, or both sessions! The workshop will take place Saturday, November 7 at Arthur Christian School. Drive to the back of the school to the ag shop. We will have signage up to help direct you where to go! School Address: 1637 IL-133, Arthur, IL 61911 The poultry workshop session will take place from 9-10am and the rabbit workshop session will take place from 10:15-11:15/11:30am. Our workshop presenter for poultry is Steve Shonk from Charleston. Steve has judged local and national poultry shows for over 30 years and comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge to share! Poultry exhibitors are welcome to bring one chicken with them. We will have show cages set up. Poultry exhibitors will get to take home a momento for participating! Our workshop presenter for rabbits is JC Morgan, from Camargo. JC has judges our local 4-H rabbit shows for over 15 years. JC has a deep knowledge and background in showing rabbits and he is so excited to share this knowledge with youth at this workshop! If you have a rabbit you want to bring to the workshop, please do so. We will practice handling rabbits and have show boxes set up.
