With more than 25 years’ experience as an equine veterinary surgeon, she brings a deep attentiveness to living systems, observation and care into her image-making. She completed an MA in Photography at Falmouth University, where she developed a research-led practice working with cameraless processes including cyanotypes, luminograms and chromatograms. Her work often focuses on the hidden ecologies beneath our feet, especially tree roots, mycorrhizal networks and the quiet intelligence of the natural world. Recent projects include Dendrophonia, which investigates tree communication, and Beneath Our Feet, which considers the microscopic life of soil. Through carefully constructed, materially sensitive images, she invites viewers to slow down and look more closely at the living relationships that sustain us."
