He has performed on Broadway in Rent & All Shook Up (original Broadway cast), as Puck in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Metropolitan Opera, and in over 1,200 performances as Boq on the 1st National Tour of Wicked. He earned his bachelor's in fine arts from Carnegie Mellon University and completed his master's in fine arts/musical theater at San Diego State University. Currently living in Chicago, he has served on the faculty of Columbia College Chicago and Illinois Wesleyan University where he was the Head the BFA in Musical Theatre degree program.Music Director: Brian Schatt -- Brian is a proud alumnus of Towson University, where he earned a bachelor's degrees in both music education and psychology and studied voice with Grammy Award–winning tenor Aaron Sheehan. Brian is now Archbishop Spalding High School's Director of Choirs, where he conducts five vocal ensembles, teaches drama and AP Music Theory, and helps shape the next generation of performing artists. Brian's work as both a performer and conductor has taken him across the country and abroad. He is thrilled to once again collaborate with the talented performers of the TMC family and is deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this production. He hopes you enjoy the show!ChoreographersVicki Smith -- Vicki is the owner and Artistic Director of Stageworkz Theatre Arts Project, a respected leader in performing arts education. A professional choreographer, director, producer, teacher, and performer, she has worked throughout the US, Europe, and South America, appearing in HBO specials, national tours, regional theatre, and major entertainment venues. Her choreography and direction have been featured at the US Gymnastics Trials in Barcelona, Six Flags, Towson University, Cunard Cruise Lines, and with corporations such as McDonald’s and DuPont. A recipient of the Ruby Griffith Award for Mame and Guys and Dolls, Vicki has also earned numerous Platinum and Gold awards for her choreography. Currently on staff at Anne Arundel Community College and directing for Crofton Middle School, she credits her sister Bobbi Smith as the true master who taught her everything she knows.Andrew Gordon -- Andrew, a signal processing engineer by day based in northern Virginia, holds a bachelors in mathematics and a master's in electrical and computer engineering. Additionally, he is a classically trained and competitive pianist who has premiered original musical compositions across Washington and New York at 54 Below, Signature Theatre and the Kennedy Center. With an extensive background in dance and theatre, Andrew has garnered awards and nominations for his choreography in local productions of The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, Mary Poppins, Crazy For You, and Singin’ in the Rain. Favorite onstage credits as a dancer include A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Chicago, Evita and Can-Can.Whitney Green -- Whitney is a choreographer, educator and performer based in Charleston, South Carolina. She grew up in Maryland and performed with Talent Machine from 2nd grade through high school. She is now a full-time education coordinator for a theater and the owner of Wedding Dances by Whitney. Her passion for dance started with Stageworkz and has led to dancing for HBO, North Charleston POPS, and she is currently rehearsing for Something Rotten. She is so excited to continue working with TMC as a choreographer!ABOUT OUR COMPANYThe Talent Machine, the premier theater company for children and youth of Central Maryland, has been amazing audiences of all ages for nearly 40 years.
