Discophonic Orchestra werd opgericht in 2014 door jazz-trombonist en arrangeur Lex van Wel, die een grote passie heeft voor de orkestrale en ritmische rijkdom van de disco uit de jaren '70. Het ensemble bestaat uit 30 muzikanten, waaronder 10 strijkers, 6 blazers, een ritmesectie en 7 topvocalisten. Samen brengen ze de iconische sound van het discotijdperk terug op het podium. 

Dit is meer dan een live concert; het is een feestelijke reis terug naar de gloriedagen van de disco!
