She has served as facilitator for the Amphibian and Reptile Workshop for the Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater Baton Rouge, and volunteered for Louisiana Amphibian and Reptile Enthusiasts (L.A.R.E.) Katherine received the Louisiana Wildlife Federation’s Governor’s Award – Conservationist of the Year for 2018 for her volunteer work to educate citizens about conservation in Louisiana.Jason Puma (Rico Rabbits) is an independent herpetologist that got his love for herptiles when he caught a snake when he was first starting to walk in Oswego, NY. As a young teen he read books and talked to experienced outdoorsmen to learn more about these creatures. He has since traveled down the east coast and settled in Louisiana where he befriended Herp enthusiasts and broadened his knowledge through education around the state.
