The Roleystone Family Centre is pleased to introduce a Social Chess Club, joining our popular Mahjong Club as part of our community activities.

This club is designed for participants who already have a basic understanding of how to play chess. Please note that formal instruction will not be provided. This is a social group focused on friendly games and connection.

 
Participation offers many benefits, including:

Social connection and community engagement
A relaxed and welcoming environment
Opportunities to enjoy and improve your game through play
The Social Chess Club is wheelchair accessible, and the space is arranged to support a range of accessibility needs. Carers are very welcome to attend to support participants and may do so free of charge.

Tea and coffee facilities are available, and participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks if they wish.

This group is suitable for chess players of all backgrounds and abilities, and everyone is warmly welcome to attend. 

If you have your own chess board, we encourage you to bring it while we get the club established.

Registration is essential. $5 payment is made on the day.

Roleystone Family Centre does NOT sell tickets through Facebook at all, so please be mindful when approached by strangers online trying to sell tickets. These are scammers!  

Tickets can NOT be transferred into anyone else’s name unless we are contacted via email and the correct processes are followed.
