Roles will be spread across BOTH shows. You may have a larger role in one show than the other. The audition will consist of reading three of the audition pieces in this package, with another auditionee. Pieces do not need to be memorised. There are many options for ensemble members in this show. Note - MASKERADE is a satire of Phantom of the Opera. As part of auditoning for MASKERADE you will be asked to sing a snippet of a song of your choice, acapella, and if you can, a typical vocal warm-up exercise (this may be needed during the show). Any singing in the show will be in an operatic style (both good and bad for humour). Some ballet-style dance moves may be needed (both good and bad).
