The artwork is inspired by colors and patterns in Iranian art and architecture, and by the vibrant dancing in Iranian gatherings and holidays. In sharing her inspiration, the artist also invites people to consider our shared humanity and connections.A DJ will help you feel the rhythm, with a mix of Iranian and American (and other) music. Y’All Go Rhythm may sound like the word Algorithm, but it is a call for IRL gathering and a command to channel rhythm and flow with dancing and tactile creativity.Free, and open to the public. Ahkami holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York and a BA from Columbia University. She has exhibited at museums and galleries nationally and internationally including The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, The North Carolina Museum of Art, the Bronx Museum of Art, and The Walters Art Museum.
