Customarily an elder Curandera(o)teaches the tradition in oral form. Ixtoii Paloma Cervantes is an elder,instructor, or “Maestra” of the Curanderismo Tradition and also a full-timeCurandera. She was born and raised in Mexico into the tradition. She startedworking full-time as a Curandera in 1986. Then 12 years later, in 1998, shemoved to California where she kept her practice and started to teach MexicanShamanism or Curanderismo and other spiritual modalities. Now not only does sheteach in California but also in other states and countries. This workshop inArlington, Virginia, offers a rare chance to learn directly from her, as theseteachings are not available online and are part of an oral tradition meant tobe shared responsibly. Teachers Assistant:Jenny Perez CuranderaJenny, is agraduate Curandera of Paloma Cervantes at Ixtoii Institute of Shamanism andCuranderismo. She works as a full-time Curandera in Arlington VA.
