South Central Alternative Fuel Corridor Convening

South Central Alternative Fuel Corridor Convening

Transportation, Energy and Environmental Leaders are invited to take part in an informative and action-driven full-day program to promote alternative fuel corridors in the South Central region of the U.S.

To help ‘fill the infrastructure gap’ and increase awareness on the expanding network of nationally-designated alternative fuel corridors, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is organizing a series of five regional convenings throughout the United States.

The South Central Alternative Fuel Corridor Convening is the third of such meetings and will act as a central meeting point to strengthen coordination between states and partners on the planning and implementation of alternative fuel corridors. During the meeting, practitioners will engage stakeholders from around the South Central region on current regional corridor activities, signage and awareness, infrastructure gap analysis, technology barriers, funding and partnership best practices.

South Central partners will leave the Convening with a better understanding of states’ needs and priorities, effective tools to support corridor planning, and strategic and sustainable partnerships to implement alternative fuel infrastructure in the region.

The South Central Alternative Fuel Corridor Convening is an invitation-only, FREE meeting to state and city departments of transportation (DOTs), metropolitan planning organizations (MPO), Clean Cities Coalitions, and other partners playing a critical role to alternative fuel corridor development.

Each participating South Central State can receive travel assistance from FHWA for two representatives from a DOT and/or MPO. Please email RWxpc2UgISBFbWlsIHwgY2FkbXVzZ3JvdXAgISBjb20= for assistance.

Participating South Central States include: TX, AR, LA, and OK.

The South Central Alternative Fuel Corridor Convening is hosted in partnership by the FHWA, U.S. DOT Volpe Center, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Cadmus Group and CALSTART.
