She is the owner and Clinical Director of The Wellness Counseling Group, LLC, and also serves as an adjunct professor at Abilene Christian University and Texas A&M University–Kingsville.Through her private practice, Dr. Floyd provides counseling services to individuals, couples, and families from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and gender backgrounds. She is also committed to community outreach and offers affordable counseling services to uninsured individuals and families through her practice’s outreach program.Her passion for helping others was shaped by 17 years of service with Child Protective Services. As both a proud mother and an adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dr. Floyd is a dedicated advocate for individuals with special needs and actively supports organizations serving the ASD community.Dr. Floyd earned her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy in December 2023. She received her master’s degree from Amberton University in 2011 and her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern University and A&M College in 1999.
