Old Schwamb Mill Tour

The Old Schwamb Mill, located in Arlington, is the oldest continuously operating mill site in the United States. Since 1864, the mill has been functioning as a working picture frame manufacturer and continues to produce museum quality oval and circular frames for customers around the world. Come for a guided tour of the mill and art gallery plus have the chance to see artisan David W. Graf demonstrate frame-turning on original 19th-century lathes, still used today to create handmade oval and circular frames. Admission is free but a suggested donation of $5 will be appreciated. After the tour we will stop for lunch at Jimmy’s Steer House where they believe that a great steakhouse experience can still be affordable.
