Join the Stream Team & volunteers from Edmonds College in restoring the riparian zone of Olaf Strad Creek in Arlington. We will be planting native trees and shrubs that will grow to provide shade to the stream, so it can provide adequate habitat for salmon and other aquatic life.
Olaf Strad Volunteer Planting
Friday February 20th, 2026
10AM-Noon
AASF’s Olaf Strad Creek restoration site is located in Arlington, where 162nd St NE crosses The Centennial Trail (adjacent cross streets 67th Ave NE and 162nd St NE). There is limited parking at/near the site, but the Armar Road Trailhead of The Centennial Trail is close-by and offers additional parking.
Armar Road Trailhead (15333 67th Ave NE, Arlington, WA 98223) = 0.8 miles, ~15 min walk to the Olaf Strad site.
If any volunteers are bringing along their Holiday Trees for Salmon to plant, they are encouraged to drop the trees off at the site, before finding parking.
Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided by the Adopt A Stream Foundation.
This is a rain or shine event so please come prepared in tree planting attire and closed-toed, water-proof/resistant shoes to keep you dry and warm.
This is a volunteer event so it is of course FREE but the ticket link below will enable you to RSVP. You can also RSVP by emailing
