This 40 hour course fulfills the requirements of the LPC Board to be a supervisor.

Sharon Good, MA, LPC-S and Audra Dahl, MA, LPC-S both love counseling, teaching, and supervising LPC-Interns. Sharon Good began given back to the profession she loves by becoming a LPC Supervisor in 2005. She is the Founder of Rush Creek Counseling Center and has just begun a new venture by becoming the Director of Counseling at The Fountains Counseling Center in Crowley. She has been on the Board of Directors of Christian Counselors of Texas for over 20 years serving in various positions thru the years.
Audra Dahl is the Director of the Rush Creek Counseling Center. She has been working in the counseling field since 2005 and a board approved supervisor since 2011. Audra is a member of the Christian Counselors of Texas where she has served on the Executive Committee since 2012, including 4 years as President.. She is also an adjunct professor at DBU teaching undergraduate psychology classes.

20 hours of in-person training and 20 hours of homework to be done PRIOR to the training date. Certificate of completion will not be provided without completed homework.

TAC 681.93: The applicant for supervisor status must have held the regular license in good standing for at least 60 months from the date of issuance as of December 1, 2016. Prior to December 1, 2016 the applicant for supervisor status must have held the regular license in good standing for 36 months.
This course meets the requirements set forth by the LPC Board for supervision training as stated in TAC 681.93:
(B) continuing education programs meeting the requirements of §681.142 of this title (relating to Types of Acceptable Continuing Education) of which 50% of the hours must be face-to-face instruction. The course must be taught by an LPC with supervisor status.
(2) The 40 clock-hours shall be completed over a time period not to exceed 90 days and shall include at least the following:
(A) defining and conceptualizing supervision and models of supervision for at least three clock-hours;
(B) supervisory relationship and counselor development for at least three clock-hours;
(C) supervision methods and techniques for at least 12 clock-hours, covering roles (teacher, counselor, and consultant), focus (process, conceptualization, and personalization), group supervision, multi-cultural supervision (racial, ethnic, and gender issues), and evaluation methods;
(D) ethical, legal, and professional issues for at least 12 clock-hours, covering roles for supervision and standards of practice, Subchapter B of this title (relating to Authorized Counseling Methods and Practices), §681.92 of this title (relating to Experience Requirements (Internship), and §681.93 of this title (relating to Supervisor Requirements), other codes of ethics, and ethical and legal dilemmas; and
(E) executive and administrative tasks for at least three clock-hours covering supervision plan, supervision contract, time for supervision, record keeping, and reporting.
