She currently serves as Senior Vice President of Blended Health and has held numerous clinical, administrative, leadership, teaching, and consulting roles, including Physician Development Coach and Professor of Medical Education at the TCU Burnett School of Medicine.Dr. Atkisson is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, and a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. She is board certified in both adult and child and adolescent psychiatry and is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).A respected leader in Texas psychiatry, Dr. Atkisson currently serves as a Texas Representative to the American Psychiatric Association and has previously served as President of the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, President of the Texas Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, and Chair of the Federation of Texas Psychiatry.
