She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Early Childhood/Childhood Education, Master of Science in Literacy, Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership, and Doctorate in Educational and Policy Leadership at Hofstra University. She began her teaching career as an elementary teacher in Wyandanch School District and received the Outstanding Teacher Award presented by Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory in her final year in the classroom (2018). Dr. CHJ transitioned into an assistant principal position in William Floyd School District where she worked hard to provide quality instructional feedback for teachers and build relationships with teachers, students, and caregivers. She currently serves as the Texas Clinical Practice Director at Relay Graduate School of Education where she coaches, teaches, and cultivates educators.
