As the wheel of the year turns and the sun reaches its fullest expression, we gather to honor Father Sun—the life-giving force that nourishes the seeds we planted in spring. ??

Join us in community for a heart-centered celebration of the Summer Solstice + Father’s Day, where we honor not only our fathers and patrilineal ancestors, but the fatherly energy that lives within us all.

Joining us for the first time, James Patrick (Facilitator of Ecstatic Dance Baltimore) describes his music as enchanting drum and percussion-heavy beats with layers of afro-latin, funky and worldly organic elements. Never limited to but think Organica, Bass, House, Moombahton, and Reggae. 

His accolades under previous stage name, James Nasty include being voted Best DJ multiple times, winning Best Dance Party Series for a club night he co-hosted, and winning Best Club Song for the track, Dynamite, in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. He’s been co-signed by Boiler Room, Spin, Mixmag, and Vice. Now under the name James Patrick, he organizes and serves as resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance Baltimore, plus prioritizing playing ecstatic dances ad other sober & conscious dance-centered events all over the US. With years of experience, he's masterful at his craft, bringing authenticity, playfulness, and the purest heart to the dance floor and infusing it into his music productions.

New to Ecstatic Dance? No problem!
The guidelines for our container are simple:
	1.	Consent comes first.
Always wait for consent before dancing with or touching anyone in any capacity.
If you don’t wish to dance with someone, place your hands in a prayer position to thank them and move along.
If someone is not respecting your consent cues, please speak to an organizer—we will intervene.
	2.	No shoes.
This helps us avoid stepping on anyone’s toes.
If you have a medical need that requires footwear, please let us know.
	3.	No chatting on the dance floor.
We keep the space non-verbal to support immersion. Joyful sounds and expressions are welcome!
	4.	No alcohol or substances.
This helps everyone stay present with themselves, each other, and the experience.
	5.	No photos or videos of the dance floor.
This creates a safe space for full self-expression without judgment or documentation.
Photos and videos of the DJ are allowed with the DJ’s consent.
	6.	All forms of movement—and rest—are encouraged.
You’re welcome to visit the chill-out room, cuddle up with a blanket and pillow, and take a sensory break.
The music will be there when you’re ready to return.
