Researchers and engineers from the CERT division of the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Software Engineering Institute (SEI) will explore the meaning of CMR today when AI is impacting everything.Participants will expand their understanding of current challenges, trends and emerging solutions to CMR challenges in the age of AI and enjoy an engaging day of learning about CMR capabilities that are both meeting the needs of government and military leaders today and evolving to address tomorrow's realities. The SEI will demonstrate emerging solutions for:building cyber capacity and sharing threat informationmotivating performance using cyber challenge competitionsdeveloping individual skill mastery using guided self-assessment and targeted skill labs forging elite teams for winning the cognitive fightforging elite teams for winning the cognitive fightCome to this symposium for an experience that will challenge your assumptions and redefine what it means to be mission-ready in the age of AI. Bring your laptop and your CAC/PIV identity card to participate in hands-on portions of each session. Gain knowledge of SEI's open-source cyber mission readiness solutions that are in use today across the federal government and military – both on-premises and in the cloud:Crucible: an open-source software application framework for improving CMR which integrates learning management, cyber team exercises, cyber challenge competitions, cyber threat information sharing, and collaboration as well as leveraging AI models to accelerate cyber capacity buildingFortress: an SEI-hosted, on-premises, Crucible-instance featuring CAC/PIV authentication, auto-account-registration, and CMMC L2 certificationThe symposium will feature opportunities to network with each other and joining an SEI-sponsored network of CMR professionals.While this symposium is open to all, priority will be given to U.S. Government Agencies, U.S. Military, and their contractors.LocationThe Software Engineering Institute is located on the 2nd floor of the NRECA building at 4301 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA. Within walking distance is Ballston Quarter which provides a variety of dining options as well as interesting recreational opportunities. Please note that the Taylor Street entrance will be closed on the event date, due to building renovations. Enter via the Wilson Boulevard entrance or the parking garage elevators.LodgingTo access discounted rates with nearby hotels, all within walking distance of the conference center, see Arlington Travel Information.Ground TransportationThe closest WMATA Metro station is Ballston-MU, just two blocks away at 4230 Fairfax Drive. The station is served by the Silver and Orange lines. To access the underground garage at the NRECA building, enter at 802 North Taylor Street. Rates are $6.00 for the first hour, and $12.00 for the entire day. Two shuttle elevators operate from each garage level to the Plaza Lobby.
