"Ascension" - Spring Concert

Celebrate a half-century of music with the Vienna Community Band! Our spring performance, Ascension, marks our Golden Jubilee with a high-energy journey through 50 years of community and song.

From our foundational roots in 1975 to the soaring heights of the modern stage, this concert captures the spirit of a landmark anniversary. Experience the regal brilliance of Vaughan Williams’s Flourish for Wind Band, the mischievous wit of Prokofiev’s March, Op. 99, and the seasonal celebration of Steven Bryant’s Bloom.

🌟 Concert Highlights:
World Premiere: Be the first to hear Gary Nash’s Archer Overture, a heroic tribute commissioned to honor the legacy of Louise Archer.

American Classics: A moving performance of Frank Ticheli’s Shenandoah.

Cinematic Adventure: Set sail with the high-octane themes of Pirates of the Caribbean.
