Journalistikkens rolle i et demokrati er at levere faktuel viden og information til borgerne, så de kan handle og tage beslutninger på et oplyst grundlag. Vi får besøg af Sonja Morell Lundorff fra Constructive Institute, der er på mission for at forny journalistikken. Ikke gennem hurtigere overskrifter eller flere chok – men ved at udvikle en konstruktiv tilgang til fortælling, der ikke kun afdækker problemer, men også undersøger løsninger.
Undersøgelser fra Reuters Institute viser, at selektiv nyhedsundgåelse er et stigende problem på tværs af lande. Det er en udfordring – ikke kun for journalister og medier – men også for den demokratiske samtale. Derfor har den journalistiske NGO Constructive Institute sat sig for at sætte medier og demokrati på skoleskemaet med det omfattende projekt 'Demokratisk Mobilisering af Næste Generation'.

Sonja Morell Lundorff er projektkoordinator i Constructive Institute og arbejder på projektet ‘Demokratisk Mobilisering af Næste Generation’, hvor hun besøger ungdomsuddannelser, højskoler og efterskoler landet over med workshops i konstruktiv journalistik. Sonja har en kandidatgrad i analytisk journalistik fra Aarhus Universitet og har skrevet speciale om unge, medier og demokrati. Hun har mange års erfaring med at undervise børn og unge og har en bred indsigt i unges engagement og demokratiske deltagelse.

The role of journalism in a democracy is to provide factual knowledge and information to citizens so they can act and make informed decisions. We are joined by Sonja Morell Lundorff from the Constructive Institute, who is on a mission to renew journalism. Not through faster headlines or more shocks - but by developing a constructive approach to storytelling that not only uncovers problems but also explores solutions.
Research from the Reuters Institute shows that selective news avoidance is a growing problem across countries. It's a challenge - not only for journalists and media - but also for democratic discourse. That's why the journalistic NGO Constructive Institute has set out to put media and democracy on the school timetable with the comprehensive project 'Democratic Mobilization of the Next Generation'.
Join us for a conversation about the future media landscape and what perspectives from journalism might be reflected in the performing arts and vice versa. What happens in the meeting between communication, facts and shared reality - and how can we maintain both hope and complexity in a time when nuances are under pressure?
Presenter
Sonja Morell Lundorff is project coordinator at Constructive Institute and works on the project 'Democratic Mobilization of the Next Generation', where she visits youth education, folk high schools and continuation schools across the country with workshops in constructive journalism. Sonja has a master's degree in analytical journalism from Aarhus University and has written a thesis on youth, media and democracy. She has many years of experience teaching children and young people and has a broad insight into youth engagement and democratic participation.
