Food has always been a gateway to culture. What do you eat at festive gatherings?
Most of our civilisations began with farming and cultivation. And with every harvest comes a celebration — of food, gratitude, and togetherness. 🍂 Thanksgiving, the Mid-Autumn Festival, Harvest Festival, Samhain, and Dożynki are just a few examples of how people mark the season around the world.
This November, Culture Meets invites you to a cosy potluck dinner — a communal evening of eating, sharing, and storytelling about our favourite cultural dishes. Just like home. 🥘✨

🕕 Time: 18:30 – 21:30 (doors open at 18:00)
📍 Venue: Studiecaféen, Studenterhus Aarhus
🍽️ How to Join
You can either:
1. Buy a free ticket, and bring a dish to share with everyone.
- While we encourage vegan-friendly meals, everything is welcome on the table!
- You can bring anything (that can be eaten, of course!) — from starters to desserts. Cookies? Dumplings? It’s up to you!
- You can heat up food in our café, but since there’s only one microwave, we recommend dishes that can be served cold.
2. Buy a food ticket for 20 DKK (+10 DKK ticket fee) if you don’t feel like cooking but still want to contribute — we’ll cook extra for you!
🥤 Drinks can be purchased from our café, and we’ll also serve a special seasonal drink on the day (stay tuned for details!).
🕠 Event starts at 18:30, but you’re welcome to come from 18:00 to heat up your food and settle in.
🥡 Don’t forget to bring your tupperware — if there’s food left, we’ll give our meals a second chance!
