FORESTILLINGEN LE SCÉNARIO AF PHILIP BERLIN Le Scénario er en danseforestilling, der dyrker klimakset som tilstand: de høje spring, det dirrende overskud, glimtet i øjet. Den svenske koreograf Philip Berlin hylder den rå post-punk drysset med pailletter, mens han trækker tråde tilbage til den frie moderne dans fra 1960’erne og 70’erne med referencer til blandt andre koreograferne Merce Cunningham og Michael Clark – iklædt kostumer, der flirter med både renæssancens mandemode og nutidens queer æstetik. Forestillingen opleves som ét langt crescendo. Lys, lyd og bevægelse bygger sig op og vælter ind over publikum. Fokus er på det øjeblik, hvor kroppen slipper gulvet i et spring mod himlen. This year's performance will once again be part of Aarhus Summer Dance, a two-day dance festival created in collaboration between Musikhuset, Bora Bora, and Dansk Danseteater. ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE LE SCÉNARIO BY PHILIP BERLIN Le Scénario is a dance piece that celebrates the climax as a state: the high jumps, the vibrating excess, the sparkle in the eye. Swedish choreographer Philip Berlin celebrates raw post-punk sprinkled with sequins, while drawing threads back to the free modern dance of the 1960s and 70s, with references to choreographers like Merce Cunningham and Michael Clark – dressed in costumes that flirt with both Renaissance men's fashion and contemporary queer aesthetics. The performance unfolds as one long crescendo. Light, sound, and movement build up and wash over the audience. The focus is on that moment when the body leaves the floor in a leap toward the sky. The dancers spring like deer at full gallop – elegant, wild, unpredictable. Since its premiere at Dansens Hus in Stockholm in 2023, the piece has been performed on stages across Scandinavia, including the Oslo Opera House.
