We encourage everyone to wear their brightly colored mismatched socks for the run! March 21st is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down syndrome chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks! 

FIT4MOM Denton County runs in support of the Burwell Family, Tatum Burwell, Tatum's Tulips, and all individuals with Down Syndrome.
