Get ready for a wild ride at this one-of-a-kind endurance challenge! Rumble on the Ridge puts a unique twist on the traditional Backyard Ultra—taking place on an old family dairy farm nestled in the stunning Driftless Area, just 40 minutes west of Madison, WI.
🏃 The Challenge:
- Competitors will tackle The Drifty Mile—a 1"ish" mile loop every 20 minutes until only one person remains.
- The course changes every year, with details revealed only on race day.
- Expect 1-1.25 miles of rugged terrain and at least 250 feet of elevation gain per loop.
- And here’s the kicker—every 4 hours, the route reverses to keep you on your toes!
🏆 The Reward:
The last person standing earns ultimate bragging rights, free entry to next year’s event, and an exclusive winner’s award. Last year, competitors broke the 24-hour milestone—but we’re still chasing that elusive 100-mile mark. Will 2026 be the year?

Due to venue space, only 75 spots are available. The 2025 event sold out by mid-March, so secure your spot early! If we sell out again, a waitlist will be available.
