Asheville Junior Theater is excited to announce auditions for Little Women, a moving and meaningful production open to ages 13 through adult with prior stage experience. This show is by audition only, and not all who audition will be cast.

Being part of AJT is a commitment. This production requires dedication, maturity, independent focus, and a strong commitment to the rehearsal and performance process. 

Rehearsals begin February 15 and will be held twice weekly on Sundays (1:00–6:00 PM) and Fridays (4:00–7:00 PM) in South Asheville. 

Not all actors will be called to every rehearsal, with ensemble members called less frequently. There will be no rehearsal April 5 (Easter). Performances will take place May 30, 31 and June 6, 7 at the Kittredge Theater at Warren Wilson College.

A mandatory actor/parent meeting will be held on February 15 from 1:00–2:00 PM for those cast. Actors are allowed two scheduled absences only; tech and dress rehearsals during show week are mandatory. Each family/actor is expected to help sell tickets, promote the show, complete 10 volunteer hours, assist during show week (ushers, dressing rooms, hair/makeup, etc.), and remain after the final performance for load-out.

Auditions will be held February 8. To audition, families must apply to join AJT, schedule a 10-minute interview/informational call with Director/Producer Kelly Haas, and sign up for auditions. A $150 deposit is required to audition (includes a $50 yearly registration fee; $100 if already paid). The deposit is fully refundable if not cast and non-refundable if you drop after being cast. If cast, the remaining $350 balance is due upon enrollment.
