Youth ages 8β17 are invited to join this twoβsession, handsβon program all about vermiculture, composting, and creative upcycling!
Participants will discover how worms help recycle food scraps, reduce waste, and build healthy soil while creating and exploring through fun, ecoβthemed activities.
What Is Vermiculture?
Vermiculture is the process of using wormsβespecially red wigglersβto compost food scraps and other organic waste. As the worms eat and break down the materials, they produce nutrientβrich castings that help improve soil health. Vermiculture is an easy, sustainable way to learn about decomposition, ecosystems, and waste reduction.
