Obon Storytime HAPI at Arcata Library

Learn about the Japanese celebration of Obon at two special events with friends from HAPI (Humboldt Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity) featuring an Obon Storytime. These events are free and welcome to participants of all ages.

2025 Obon Humboldt is Sunday, August 17, 3-7 p.m. in Arcata's Creamery District. A traditional Japanese festival to honor those who have come before us. Information at www.HAPIhumboldt.org.

This event is a part of the Humboldt County Library Summer Reading Program: Level Up @Your Library! Summer reading runs through August 23 and all are welcome to win prizes for reading books and there are special events and activities at libraries across the county.
