Dances being performed are as follows:

Be Here Now, choreographed by faculty choreographer Kyleigh Brine, is a contemporary ballet piece created in close collaboration with composer Brian Post and will be performed live by the musicians of SoniX. The work explores the intimate relationship between dance and music, challenging the choreographer and dancers alike to fully inhabit the present moment. Through movement and sound, Be Here Now invites performers and audience to experience the immediacy of creation, highlighting the interplay, tension, and harmony that emerges when dance and music exist in true dialogue.

Sole, choreographed by faculty choreographer Brinn Coleman, is a contemporary modern piece exploring the complexities of grief. This work focuses on different levels of grief that we experience, finding community in grief, and coming to terms with the complicated emotions associated with losing something. Sole uses audible and heavy movement to invite the audience to experience the stages of grief and how we find solace in one another.

So Much Damn Swag, choreographed by student and local artist Nevada Gomes, is a high-energy majorette-inspired performance rooted in African dance and HBCU performance traditions that radiates confidence, sensuality, and the brilliance of young talent. With sharp synchronization and a commanding presence, So Much Damn Swag celebrates expressive power and the art of owning your movement without apology. Through rhythms and embodied pride, this work spotlights the strength, allure, and undeniable impact of our next generation of performers.

Residue is a modern contemporary piece choreographed by student choreographer Juliana Hooson. This piece investigates the weight of internal struggle through the lens of the hands as a primary physical burden. The choreography moves through the friction of trying to outrun our own history. By blending sharp isolations with expansive movement, RESIDUE captures the exhausting cycle of trying to shake off a shadow that is attached to your own fingertips.Shame doesn’t just live in the mind, it lives in the body, in the grip. The journey is not one of total release, but of acceptance. It is the realization that healing is simply finding the ability to walk forward. About finding the strength required to stop fighting what haunts us. And the grace found in finally learning how to carry it.

Livewir3.mp4 is a Modern/Hip-Hop piece choreographed by student choreographer Kamar Little. Livewire.mp4 is a virtual performance program that features [7] dancers. Due to a glitch in the system, the dancers start moving, feeling, and thinking in ways they've never had before.

OBSCURA, choreographed by student choreographer Maia Miglio, is a contemporary modern piece exploring themes of conformity and disconnection. The dancers begin blindfolded, without awareness of one another. Ultimately, through the removal of the blindfolds, they discover that liberation is not found in leaving the collective, but in transforming it through authentic connection with one another.

Before Me is a modern/contemporary piece, choreographed by student choreographer Rowan Nelson-Pyle, that explores the formation and development of queer identity. This piece focuses on intergenerational ties, seeing parts of yourself in others, and the internal struggles that come with discovering one’s queerness. The choreography emphasizes reflections and a growing sense of connection as identity and community become more tangible.

Harvest Moon is a contemporary work restaged by faculty choreographer Haylee Wolff. Originally created for Trillium Dance Studio’s spring production, Bloom, the piece draws inspiration from the magnetic pull and luminous presence of the harvest moon. Through grounded floorwork, expansive movement phrases, and connective partner work, Harvest Moon traces cycles of gathering, release, and renewal.

Lovely Day
Lovely Day, is a joyful curtain call co-creation in celebration of Earth Week, developed in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability. Originally performed as a flash mob, the piece has been reimagined for the stage in our Spring Dance Concert. It brings the cast together in a shared moment of energy, connection, and gratitude—an uplifting close that celebrates community and care for our world.
