You are invited to join us to:

Bamboos at LA Arboretum
Saturday, June 27, 2026
10:00 AM  5:00 PM

The Los Angeles County Arboretum has a superb collection of bamboo in the ground.  We are planning an informal tour of these wonderful specimens.  Cost is expected to be $18 for admission.  Plan on doing a lot of walking so come rested. Many films and some music videos have been produced in part here so along with the bamboo species review we’ll be chatting about entertainment.  If you know something we don’t tell us on the tour!  Let’s gather at the ticket office together before heading out.

Stay tuned for our future events like, Bamboo at the Zoo (which includes entry to the Zoo with your membership),  Bamboo propagation workshop, that includes a bamboo plant with your participation (coming up in August), and Cooking with Bamboo, that includes the food for tasting.
