Step into the mystical world of the Arcadia Academy School of Magic for a magical horticulture class! On September 6th, join us to explore native plants, craft miniature terrariums, and create enchanted amulets using archaeological treasures unearthed from Arcadia’s ancient ruins. Perfect for witches, wizards, and magical folk of all ages, this event offers family-friendly classes (ages 6+) and adult-only classes (21+).
Guided by Explorer Flora Eldergrove, Master Herbologist, participants will uncover the secrets of magical flora and their historical uses, blending practical horticulture with spellbinding craftsmanship.
Class Details
Family-Friendly Classes (Ages 6+, Children with Adult Supervision)
Time Slots: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM | 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Activities:
Native Plant Discovery: Learn about native and magical plants.
Mini Terrariums: Build a self-sustaining terrarium with native plants, moss, and enchanted pebbles, charmed with a “Flora Sprout” spell for kids.
Amulet Crafting: Create simple protective amulets using plant clippings and stones, inspired by ancient Arcadian talismans.
Tone: Fun, interactive, and educational, with storytelling about Arcadia’s mythical past.
Safety: Non-toxic plants and child-safe materials. Adult supervision required for ages 6–12.
Adult-Only Class (Ages 21+)
Time Slots: 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Activities:
Advanced Plant Lore: Study the magical properties of native plants like Sylvan Foxglove, used in ancient potions, with insights from archaeological records.
Enchanted Terrariums: Craft intricate terrariums as magical foci, infused with the “Flora Vitae” spell to enhance spellcasting.
Amulet Enchanting: Weave complex amulets with plant roots, crystals, and twine, using the “Amuleto” charm for protection or healing, based on Arcadian rituals.
Magical Potions: Experience magical potions used by ancient students of the Arcadia Academy School of Magic to boost their magical abilities. (Alcohol consumption requires a valid ID)
Bonus: Put your new magical knowledge to the test and protect the ruins of the Arcadia Academy of Magic from evil spirits! These brave souls will reverse their way through our Haunted Tours to send the Skineater threat away from the school!
Tone: In-depth, hands-on, with a focus on magical history and practical herbology. The class will end with a reverse tour through our school's Haunted house!
Safety: Handle mildly toxic plants like Foxglove with gloves; safety briefing provided.
