CLAY
5-7 December
Celebrating the work of ceramic artists from near and far.
Talks, Market, Workshops, Firing.
At Hospitalfield we bring networks of artists together through our residencies, study days and learning programmes. With CLAY the common thread between artists and makers is a single material, here we see many different parts of the process of using clay and the astonishing outcome of combining earth and heat.
Friday 5 December 6pm
Talk with Dr Robin Wilson and Laura Aldridge. followed by a drink and viewing of the market.
Saturday 6 December
The Market – 11am – 3pm
Featuring the work of over eighteen different artists and makers based in Angus and far beyond, the CLAY Market aims to present and support an amazing range of ceramicists with many different interests and approaches.
This is an opportunity to speak to the makers, get to know more about their work and buy directly from them. It’s exciting to own or gift something handmade, bought from the person who made it. There is so much time and skill embedded in the making of each object.
You can find more information about the participating artists on our website.
eep your eyes out for more information on them coming in the following weeks.
