**"My great-grandmother, Cora Mable Platts Lundy, was born in 1878 in a dugout on the banks of Turkey Creek near Edison, NE. Her grandparents and parents came by covered wagon to the area in 1874 and homesteaded. Cora lived to the age of 90, and she spent 50 of those years as a bedfast invalid. Her story is fascinating and inspiring. The first book is full of stories of people and places around Edison, Elwood, and Arapahoe during the mid to late 1800s."
