Her grandparents and parents came by covered wagon to the area in 1874 and homesteaded.  Cora lived to the age of 90, and she spent 50 of those years as a bedfast invalid.  Her story is fascinating and inspiring.  The first book is full of stories of people and places around Edison, Elwood, and Arapahoe during the mid to late 1800s."
