Open Mic Night with guest host Donnie Picou at Old Arabi Lighthouse

Old Arabi Lighthouse is thrilled to welcome to the purple sparkle floor local 80s music legend Donnie Picou. Donnie was the leader of legendary local band Bas Clas (Cajun French for "low class"). Donnie's style of songwriting doesn't fall into the cliched trappings of the era -- just great edgy pop songwriting, along the lines of Elvis Costello or Rockpile, with a Louisiana touch. If you were a fan of Bas Clas in their heyday, it'll be a thrill to catch Donnie's act in an intimate acoustic setting. And if you don't know Donnie, you'll be glad you did.

Donnie plays a set at 6pm, followed by open mic at 7. Each participant will get up to 15 minutes of undiluted fame.
